It took a significant investment to build a website that lets us tell the stories of community leaders with art that transforms the narrative and alters the online reading experience, and connects leaders to meaningful job opportunities and community-minded events. We’ve learned a great deal about what our website can do (and, frankly, what it couldn’t do) since launching it in October 2014.

Working with our partners at Westwerk, we’re excited to unveil the next iteration of our website, designed to make it easier for you to contribute, discover, and share stories, events, and opportunities from your community.

What’s different?

1. Stories, events, and opportunities—whether community-sourced or created by the Pollen team—now have their own home. Our editorial features and community-contributed Voice articles are now housed together under Stories. We pulled the event postings from the Opportunities portal and created an Events page that now includes Pollen events and those submitted by our contributors—creating the go-to place to get plugged in to the best events happening in your community.

2. Looking for a new job? Want to serve on board? Interested in volunteering? Ready to take action in your community? Need an internship to build your resume? We revamped the Opportunities page to serve up the latest and greatest posts to change the course of your career, shake things up, and make a real difference.

3. Two words: List View. By default, stories, events, and opportunities will now be displayed in list view, making it easier for you to scan for the most relevant and up-to-date posts. Don’t worry, you’ll still have the option to switch back to card view if you want the page to look pretty.
