Together, they challenge Pollenites to raise $20,000 by Give to the Max Day on November 15, which they will match dollar for dollar.

All About PAIKKA
PAIKKA is a modern, industrial event and wedding venue located in an old mattress factory at the Vandalia Tower property in St. Paul, Minnesota. Under the guidance of owners Marlo Munch and Angie Trygg, PAIKKA specializes in unique, customized events that cater to clients’ individual personalities. “From weddings and corporate galas to artist markets and music events, we are your venue,” says Marlo. “We value inclusivity, diversity, and people choosing to celebrate, learn, and engage in our space.” PAIKKA values investing in community and donating space for the benefit of creative, educational and social causes.
“We recognize that bringing large groups of people together empowers positive change and we’re happy to foster engagement as much possible,” Angie says.

Pollen: What does creative tension look like for you in running your business?
Angie: We focus a lot on staying aligned with our original vision. With so much creative inspiration and visual content floating around, it’s easy to become distracted.
We’ve always felt most successful by following our instincts.
Pollen: What do you think is the secret to connecting across difference?
Angie: Have the conversations! Naming our differences is a huge step in creating connections and understanding other perspectives, within a business or within an entire community.
Pollen: What’s your favorite way to meet new people?
Marlo: Accepting invitations and showing up for people.
Pollen: What are the core values that drive everything your business does? How did you arrive at those values?
Angie: Our shared values brought us together as business partners, and we have operated from them from the beginning. Recently we have worked intentionally to name and define our values so they can be reproduced and reflected throughout our business.
We value connection, celebration, excellence, intentional communication and growth + vision!
Pollen: Why do you value being part of the Pollen community?
Marlo: We are so inspired by the network that Pollen has created. We meet people all the time who have been affected by Pollen’s influence on our community. Pollen has the ability to inspire and connect people through their events – people who otherwise may never meet or connect. The Twin Cities are a better place because of Pollen and the work they’re doing here. We’re excited to be connected to the wonderful people, events and conversations that are happening.
