This position works to improve systems and community responses via Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs) for sexual violence victims/survivors across Minnesota. This work is accomplished by developing and providing training, customized technical assistance, resource creation; conducting site visits (virtual or in-person); and offering coaching for SARTS funded by the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs. This position will require residency or relocation to Minnesota or locally based. The position is 100% remote until August 2022.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver one-on-one consultation, information, and resources using a variety of methods to deliver technical assistance for Minnesota SARTs.
Partner with and learn from communities, organizations, and individuals engaged in addressing underserved and marginalized communities to increase the efficacy of multidisciplinary collaborations working to improve the criminal justice response to sexual violence, as well as increase access to criminal justice options for underserved and marginalized communities.
Partner with and learn from communities, organizations, grant managers, funders, and individuals engaged in systems change work, and implement learning into MNCASA’s programs and deliverables as part of our continuous quality improvement efforts.
Proactively identify, vet, and share resources and best practices with organizations and individuals through regular e-newsletters and web content.
Create and refine resources, training, content, and materials that guide multidisciplinary collaborations to meet victim/survivor needs and improve system responses to sexual violence.
Analyze and articulate the needs of grantees regarding technical assistance and emerging issues in the field and recommend practice and policy changes that improve system-based solutions to the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs, partners, and MNCASA.
Coordination of Special Project Funding for Minnesota SARTs.
Contribute to grant reporting and fulfillment of program grant objectives.
When assigned, oversee the work of MNCASA contractors, interns, and volunteers related to the project.
Connect and collaborate with MNCASA staff to better serve people working with systems change when applicable.
Contribute to external policy and workgroup initiatives as appropriate.
Represent MNCASA at external meetings, conferences, and events as needed.
Field and direct training requests to appropriate MNCASA staff and program areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in sociology, criminal justice, or related field; or equivalent on-the-job experience in a related field or comparable combination of career and life experiences may substitute for a college degree
Minimum of three years of experience in sexual assault victim advocacy or allied professional work.
Minimum of one year experience in program development and management.
Previous experience serving on or leading a SART, or similar multidisciplinary collaboration focused on systems change and victims’ response, preferred.
Previous experience providing technical assistance; specifically, national or statewide technical assistance, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage projects with varying deadlines.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system and processes for sexual violence response, including crime victim rights.
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with diverse communities.
Ability to identify systemic problems and develop solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to travel in-state and nationally, which may include some evenings or weekends. (No travel requirements at the time, but travel will be required at some point in the future.)
A passion for MNCASA’s mission and programming, including dedication to anti-oppression efforts.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Valid MN Drivers’ License and access to reliable transportation.
ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victims/survivors. We support, convene, and collaborate with sexual assault programs, advocates, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers to promote a more victim-centered response to sexual violence, and increase effective criminal justice. Our prevention programs take action before someone is harmed, and we work with policy makers and elected officials for laws and programs that fight sexual violence. MNCASA provides:
(1) Victim and Survivor Supportby helping partner programs and medical personnel, law enforcement, and legal and social service providers deliver state of the art victim advocacy and support;

(3) Policy Reforms through public policy education and advocacy; and
(4) Systems Change by developing capacity in medical, criminal justice, social service, and judicial systems to incorporate a coordinated and victim-centered approach into their responses.
