Pollen is known for Internet-high-fiving fellow Pollenites who are doing cool stuff. Occasionally, it’s us and our partners who are on the receiving end of one of those high fives. Pollen was recently recognized for designing an online platform that breaks down barriers and builds better connected community. Dan, Dave, Scott, Amy, Todd, Brie, and the entire team at Westwerk sure didn’t shy away when we told them what we wanted pollenmidwest.org to become a content rocket ship.
We are incredibly grateful.

Webby Awards, Official Honoree
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) — a 1,000+ member judging body. Westwerk’s digital work for Pollen was an official honoree in the Community category, recognized alongside community websites such as Tumblr and Indiegogo.
Graphic Design Excellence
Graphic Design USA, American Web
Design Award
For five decades, GDUSA’s American Web Design Awards have honored outstanding work of all kinds and across all media. With more than 8,000 entries from across the country, Westwerk and Pollen are honored to be included among the highly competitive 15% to be recognized with certificates of excellence.
Outstanding Creativity and Design
Creativity International Awards
Pollen and Westwerk brought home a platinum/best in category award from the 45th Media & Interactive Design Awards for Pollen’s website, an example of outstanding creativity and design bestowed by the 2015 judges panel. Since 1970, Creativity International Design Awards has been in the business of awarding great graphic design from both well-established and up-and-coming graphic designers. This year there were entries from over 16 countries and only the top 1% of entries were recognized with platinum awards.
Creative Excellence
Over the past 22 years, Summit International Awards has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative excellence, praising the creative work of less-than-huge agencies that often go overlooked. More than 5,000 entries were submitted from 23 countries and Pollen’s community website was recognized with a silver award.
Connecting Communities
Minnesota Council of Nonprofits 2015
Dot.Org Award
MCN’s Dot.Org Awards recognize nonprofits who are using technology and communications in inspiring, effective, and creative ways. The digital platform that Pollen created in partnership with Westwerk is a content rocket ship that propels Pollenites to engage like never before. We are proud to share this honor with Westwerk.
Thank you so much!
