Our communities are entering into an unprecedented time: unprecedented public health crisis, unprecedented economic disruption, unprecedented physical isolation.

In the coming weeks, it would be far too easy to let our spirit of community fade, to fall into patterns of hopelessness, anxiety, and isolation, and let physical distance become social disconnection. That’s why it’s vitally important that we push hard in the opposite direction — listen better than ever, share more than ever, and work harder to care for each other however we can.

Crises are stern tests of our values, and at Pollen we intend to keep living ours by doing what we do best: creating space for people to process complex issues facing our community, elevating voices that go unheard far too often, and holding our shared humanity at the center of it all. Check back here regularly to hear from our community as we keep up with the changes and challenges before us.

Beginning on Thursday, March 19, at 2 PM Central, join Pollen for free, weekly virtual gatherings, featuring one-on-one conversations with community members from a wide spectrum of life in our region. They’ll share their experiences with the COVID-19 crisis, and how they’re building a community of care even as we’re kept apart. Register for free.
