ABOUT THE CEDAR CULTURAL CENTER

The Cedar Cultural Center is a non-profit performing arts organization and all-ages music venue located in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. It is operated by a professional staff in conjunction with its board of directors, and with key assistance from a large pool of volunteers. Reflecting its location in the racially and culturally diverse Cedar Riverside neighborhood, the venue is known for presenting a wide variety of global roots, folk, indie, experimental, bluegrass, Americana, and blues artists, as well as artist residencies, educational programs, workshops, films, dances, comedy, spoken word and community events. The only venue of its kind in the Midwest, The Cedar currently hosts 150 performances annually.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This position provides leadership, strategy and management for advancing events; internal systems operations, including HR and technology; facility operations; and finances. Site management and internal systems give structure and order to a rotation of 2-4 weekly performances in our venue. These systems ensure safe, positive user-experiences for artists, audiences, volunteers, as well as staff. Effective systems positively affect the overall financial health of the organization, too. We are looking for someone who brings care and intention to these processes and can play an active part in continuous improvements to core systems, as well as stewardship of relationships that advance our work.
